Hi there!👋

I graduated from School of Maritime Economics and Management, Dalian Maritime University, Dalian, China with a bachelor’s degree. Now I am a joint PhD candidate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Supervisor: Prof. Shuaian Wang), PR China & Tongji University (Supervisor: Prof. Xiaoli Wang), PR China. I also collaborate with Prof. Zhongzhen Yang, Prof. Kang Chen and Mr. Tao Zhang closely. So far, I have published 30+ SCI/SSCI papers with . If you are seeking any form of academic cooperation, please feel free to email me at xinxu@tongji.edu.cn or xu-david.xin@connect.polyu.hk.

My research interest includes:

  • Port management (e.g., berth allocation, berth allocation and quay crane assignment)
  • Shipping management (e.g., liner shipping network design, vessel scheduling)
  • Transportation and logistics system optimization (e.g., electric vehicle transportation network design)
  • Emergency management, humanitarian logistics
